E-40's Ghetto Report Card Goes Gold

My Ghetto Report Card, the 12th album from Bay Area slang legend, rapper E-40, has been certified gold.

The album, which was released in March, debuted at #1 on Billboard's r&b/hip-hop and rap charts, thanks to its preceding single "Tell Me When 2 Go", and continued to gain momentum with the second single "U And Dat".

My Ghetto Report Card is E-40's first album under Lil Jon's BME imprint which he signed to in 2004. Previously signed to Jive Records, E-40 released eleven albums via the label with one receiving platinum certification and three others going gold.

In related news, yesterday (August 29) 40 released his hyphy movement DVD titled E-40 & The Hype on Hyphy. The DVD explores the music and dance style created in California's Bay area that is currently spreading across the country.
