Talib Kweli Performs Free Show In NYC, Heads Out On Tour

 Talib Kweli will be holding a free concert in NYC tomorrow evening (August 26).

Titled 'J&R Music World Presents... an Evening with Blacksmith Music,' Kweli will share the stage with the artists on his Blacksmith label Jean Grae and Strong Arm Steady.

The event, which will kick off at 5pm, will take place in City Hall Park, in Downtown Manhattan across from J&R Music World on 23 Park Row. The aforementioned artists will hit that stage at 5pm.

Kweli is currently on tour to support his Warner Music Group debut album titled Ear Drum. Besides featuring guest spots from Jean Grae and Strong Arm Steady, the album which is due in stores in September, includes contributions from Norah Jones, UGK, Kanye West and production by DJ Hi-Tek, Kwame and Rick Rubin, among others.

Ear Drum will mark the first release off Kweli's Blacksmith Music imprint.
