Trick Daddy Cleared In Strip Club Beatdown

Miami rapper Trick Daddy has been cleared of misdemeanor charges stemming from a strip club scuffle last September.

According to the Associated Press, prosecutors dismissed charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest against the 33-year-old rapper (real name Maurice Young) today (Feb. 15), prior to the onset of the trial.

Trick was arrested last September following a brawl at Tootsie's Cabaret in Miami. He was taken to a local hospital for his injuries and was seen leaving an ambulance in a stretcher.

Police originally said that Trick Daddy had threatened staff members, refused to leave, and resisted being handcuffed, but prosecutors and the rapper's lawyer, Jay White, ultimately agreed that no crime was committed.

"My client got beat up, taken to the hospital and spent time in jail for being the victim of a crime," White said.

Trick Daddy's latest release was the December 2006 album Back By Thug Demand, which featured guest spots from Young Buck, Birdman, Chamillionaire, Trey Songz and Jaheim.
