Kanye West Good To Go For Grammy Performance

ImageGrammy officials have announced that rapper/producer Kanye West is among the artists set to perform at this year's ceremony.

West received the most nominations for the award show with a total of eight nods. Close behind, with six nominations is troubled R&B songstress, Amy Winehouse. Winehouse, who is currently in rehab, is also scheduled to perform but after being denied access into the U.S. will be performing via satellite from the UK.

At the 2006 Grammys, West received six nominations and walked away with three awards including best rap album for Late Registration, as well as best rap song for "Diamonds from Sierra Leone" and rap solo performance for "Gold Digger." He also took home Rap Album of the Year in 2005 for College Dropout.

This year, Ye has a strong hold on the rap field, with nominations for the Best Rap Album and double nominations in the Best Rap Song category - with both "Can't Tell Me Nothing" and "Good Life" vying for the award. Graduation is also in competition with Winehouse's Back To Black in the Album of the Year category.

The 50th annual Grammy awards will be aired live on Sunday (Feb. 10) on CBS at 8 p.m. EST.
