9th Wonder & Buckshot Regroup For New Collabo Album

Brooklyn MC Buckshot and North Carolina producer 9th Wonder are set to release their second collaborative album entitled, The Formula, this April via Buckshot's Duck Down Records.

Boot Camp Clik member Buckshot and former Little Brother beatmaker 9th first found chemistry in the studio back in 2005. At the time 9th was doing production for Duck Down acts Sean Price and Smif-N-Wessun.

"I felt like 9th Wonder was the savior of their production," Buckshot previously said. "It just was so real that I was blessed to get a track too. Then the next day, we just did another joint and the next day we did another joint and our chemistry was so good together that it just became Chemistry."

They duo's first collaborative LP, which was appropriately titled Chemisty featured guest appearances by Sean Price, Big Pooh, and Phonte of Little Brother, Joe Scudda and L.E.G.A.C.Y.

Since the release of Chemistry, 9th has been busy prepping his solo album and producing for other acts like Erykah Badu while Buckshot has been creating original music for ESPN's 2008 Men's College Basketball Programming.

Despite their busy schedules the duo found time to unite for new project, The Formula.

"Every song is dealing with a topic," Buckshot said. "Each track specifically has a formula, hence where the title of the album came from. I am The Formula and I found The Formula with 9th Wonder. I've always had a certain sound within Hip-Hop and 9th Wonder helps bring out my unique style. We share a comfort level that allows me to be at ease when it comes to recording and that natural sound translates into great music."

Buckshot and 9th Wonder have already shot three videos in anticipation of the April 15th release.
