Jody Breeze Off Jazze Pha's Sho Nuff Label
According to representatives for Jody Breeze, a conflict of personalities caused a breakdown in communication, causing the rapper to step away from his solo deal with ShoNuff Records.
The rapper had previously put his solo album A Day in the Life Of Jody Breeze on hold to focus on albums by Boyz N Da Hood.
The news of his departure from ShoNuff Records puts the release of his first solo album in question.
Jody Breeze signed with Jazze Pha's ShoNuff imprint at the age of 18.
Three months later, Sean "Diddy" Combs signed Jody Breeze and the group Boyz N Da Hood, which resulted in two albums, Boyz N Da Hood (2005) and Back Up N Da Chevy (2007).
Breeze, who recently won a BMI Award for co-writing "Come to Me" on Diddy's Press Play album, is now a free agent.
The Atlanta rapper also penned three other tracks on Press Play, including "Through the Pain," which featured Mario Winans.
He is currently in the studio recording new singles, including his latest, titled "Crack."
Jody Breeze's most recent mixtape, Best Kept Secret - Patiently Waiting is available now.
Representatives for Jazze Pha were not available as of press time.
