Birdman Flies Free, Released On $1,500 Bond

Cash Money founder, Bryan "Baby" Williams, was released on $1,500 bond early this morning (November 28) after being charged with possession of marijuana.

According to the Associated Press, the rapper and 15 of his cohorts were released from jail around 1:30 a.m.

Birdman was arrested yesterday along with 15 other people - many of whom were Cash Money employees - for posession of marijuana.

The rapper and his clique, which included his 18-year old wife Brittany Williams and his brother, Cash Money co-founder Ronald Williams, were arrested in Tennessee while en route to New York for a BET shoot.

A police officer found a pound of marijuana in a trash can after pulling over their RV for making an improper lane change and searching it when he smelled marijuana. All 16 cohorts were charged with possession of more then a ½ ounce.

Along with the marijuana, police also found guns in the vehicle and said several people in the vehicle were carrying hefty wads of cash, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 and totaling $12,000 to $15,000 among the entire crew. The money won't be seized, however, unless police detect the smell of marijuana on it.

Incidentally, Birdman's $1,500 bond was a measly sum compared to the fee paid by his surrogate son Lil' Wayne after he was arrested on gun and marijuana charges following a concert in NYC this July. Unlike his "daddy," Birdman, Jr. ponied up $70,000 to get out of jail.
