Ducks Down Records Assist ESPN, Provide Music For B-Ball Coverage

College hoops fans will get their hip-hop fix this season; ESPN has enlisted New York label Duck Down Records to create a number of original tracks specifically for their Men's College Basketball coverage.

Duck Down Records and most of their roster were hired by ESPN to make five original tracks for the network's coverage of the 2007/2008 season of Men's College Basketball, which kicked off this week.

Buckshot of Black Moon, Heltah Skeltah (Sean Price and Rock) and Smif-N-Wessun each contributed original music for ESPN's college basketball programming.

The music will be featured throughout the complete 2007/2008 season.

The original tracks include Buckshot's "All Business" produced by Tai Dealz, Tek's "Get in the Game" produced by KB, Smif-N-Wessun's "Push It" produced by Sic Beats and Heltah Skeltahfeat. Buckshot "Getcha Team" produced by Optiks.

In related news, Heltah Skeltah is expected to drop a new album in 2008. The LP, D.I.R.T., is projected for release next summer. "Getcha Team" was created explicitly for ESPN college basketball coverage and will not be included on D.I.R.T.
