Nelly, UGK and Chris Brown Head to Houston for NBA All-Star Weekend

 NBA All-Star Weekend kicks off in Houston today and hip-hop stars like B.G., UGK, Nelly and Queen Latifah also have big things in store for the weekend.

The 55th NBA All-Star Game will be held Sunday (February 19), and will begin with hometown heroes Destiny's Child will be making their final group performance singing the National Anthem for the event.

The weekend's events also include a Celebrity Game tonight (February 17) and a Dunk Challenge and rookie game tomorrow night (February 18). For a full line up of the NBA official events visit

Queen Latifah is slated to coach against "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria in McDonald's NBA All-Star Celebrity game tonight. Longoria will be coaching team H-Town with Nelly, Chris Brown and Nick Cannon in her starting five, while Latifah's squad, ClutchCity, will include Ice Cube, Bow Wow and actor Donald Faison ("Scrubs"). ESPN's Stuart Scott will be hosting the event which will be televised by the same network at 7pm EST.

In addition to his celebrity game duties, Nelly has a weekend of events lined up at Houston's club Hush-which will be known this weekend as Club Derrty. Friday night Nelly and the St. Lunatics will be co-hosting a kickoff event with Usher. Saturday, they'll share hosting duties with NBA stars Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony, with DJ Clue taking over the 1s and 2s and Sunday evening's event will be co-hosted by fellow "Grillz" alums Jermaine Dupri and Gipp. For tickets and information visit

Meanwhile, Houston hip-hop legends UGK will be giving some hometown love during the weekend as well. Tonight, Damon Dash and UGK's Pimp C and Bun B are hosting a Pro-Keds shoe launch and welcome home event for Pimp at the Fox Sports Grill.

Rap-A-Lot Records honcho J.Prince will also be hosting an event over the weekend. On Sunday, February 19, he'll be teaming up with actress Sanaa Lathan and Jamie Foxx at Dreams of Houston.

Lastly, New Orleans will be representing at All-Star weekend this year as well. B.G. and Mannie Fresh are scheduled to perform the new B.G. single, "Move Around," tonight at Club Blue.
