Diddy Gets Served, Bouncers Smack Down Assualt Charge

ImageSean "Diddy" Combs was caught off guard Friday night (October 19) and served with lawsuit papers for his assault charge against night club promoter, James Waldon.

According to TMZ, the mogul was entering his flagship Sean John store in Manhattan for a launch party celebrating his new women's line. As the process server tried to hand Diddy the papers, his bodyguards reportedly smacked them to the ground and Diddy rushed inside the building. [Watch Here]

Later, a bodyguard came out to pick the papers up, but he ran the process server off.

Waldon filed the suit, claiming that Puff ordered his goons to manhandle him. Waldon said he tried to serve Diddy himself, last June at Puff's booth inside a club, but the mogul allegedly directed his bodyguards to forcibly remove Waldon. Waldon claims to have suffered bruises, contusions, lacerations and injuries to his mouth and teeth. Waldon is suing Diddy and his camp for $5 million.

This is the latest in a string of legal woes for the Bad Boy mogul. Earlier this month, Diddy allegedly got into a scuffle with acquaintance Steven Acevedo outside a SoHo club. He was also sued by a former associate for more than $19 million. The associate accused Diddy of refusing to pay up for music by The Notorious B.I.G.
