T.I., Young Jeezy & Beyonce Grab AMA Nominations

ImageThis year's crop of nominees for the 35th Annual American Music Awards were recently announced with several big name hip-hoppers walking away with nods.

With R&B making a strong showing this year, blue-eyed soul poster boy Justin Timberlake managed to grab three nominations, including favorite pop/rock album, according to Billboard. The pretty-boy crooner will also go head to head with another R&B powerhouse, Beyonce, who also garnered three nominations, for the award for favorite soul/R&B album.

With two nominations each, Young Jeezy, T.I. and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony lead the charge for hip-hop acts at this year's awards. Winners are set to be announced during a Nov. 18 broadcast on ABC from the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

As a new feature this year, fans will have the opportunity to pick the winners of the night's festivities by voting online. Fans wishing to cast their ballots for their favorite artists can log onto at ama.abc.com from now until Nov. 1. Before the new public voting feature, winners were decided by a poll of 20,000 music buyers. Nominees are still determined by retail and sales data.

The show will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and is slated to feature a performance by Rihanna, among others.
