Rick Ross Arrested After Being Accused of Pistol Whipping A Man

Rick Ross has reportedly been arrested in Fayette County, Georgia on a number of kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery charges.

The arrest was carried out by the Metro Atlanta Fugitive Task Force who claim Ross pistol whipped a worker who was doing repairs on a home he owns in Fayette County.

Ross’ bodyguard was also arrested on related charges from the incident. Both men are said to be in police custody as they await an initial appearance and a bond hearing.

CBS affiliate WGCL in Atlanta reports the U.S. Marshals Service’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force assisted the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office in arresting Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts, and another man, described as his bodyguard.

Details of the incident or incidents that led to the arrest are still forthcoming.

This is not Ross’ first arrest. WGCL reports that Ross was arrested as recently as June 10 on a traffic violation and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was released from jail later that night.
