BET Promotes Hip-Hop "Beef"

ImageBET will explore the origins of hip-hop battle tonight (January 25) with the network premiere on QD3's Beef series.

The popular hip-hop documentary series chronicles the evolution and history of verbal battles in hip-hop. Airing tonight, "Beef" features appearances by KRS-One, Busy Bee and Kool Moe Dee. The installment of the series also profiles classic battles between Jay-Z and Nas, 50 Cent and Ja Rule, Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G., and many more.

Tomorrow (January 26), the network will air Beef II which features behind-the-scenes drama between lawyers, record labels, managers, and the media. Interviews include 50 Cent, D12, Redman, Method Man, Nelly, Ice Cube, Hot 97 New York radio personalities Angie Martinez and DJ Kay Slay, Tupac's mother Afeni Shakur, and old school legends Cold Crush Brothers, Marley Marl, KRS-One, and Roxanne Shante, to name a few.

Beef III airs on Friday (January 26) at 9pm est and is hosted by Kay Slay. Volume three showcases the beefs between The Game and 50, T.I and Lil' Flip, Nelly and Chingy, Twista and Bone-Thugz-N-Harmony, Lil' Scrappy and the Orlando, Florida Police, among many others.

The Beef series is the brainchild of producer-turned-filmmaker Quincy "QD3" Jones III, son of famed music producer Quincy Jones.

Beef airs tonight at 9pm est on BET, with Beef II airing tomorrow and Beef III airing Friday at the same time.
