T.I. Tops Billboard Charts, Moves 175K In 2nd Week

ImageFor the second week in a row, T.I. remains on top of the Billboard 200.

According to Nielsen's SoundScan, T.I. vs. T.I.P., scanned 175,000 copies in its second go-around, moving more CDs, in this year's declining rap sales climate, than most artists are able to sell in their first week.

His second week numbers were able to trump the second week sales of Jay-Z's Kingdom Come - which sold over 700,000 discs, the highest first week sales of any rapper last year. T.I. , who beat Jay by 35,100 units, has sold 643,000 copies of his latest album to date, making it rap's highest selling album of '07. Last year at this time T.I also had rap's highest selling album with King.

Elsewhere on the Billboard 200, Fergie sits at No. 8 shifting 50,000 more copies of The Dutchess in its 43rd week. Amy Winehouse continues to hold it down in the top 10, with Back to Black slipping to the No. 9 position, selling 49,000 additional copies of her critically acclaimed album.
