Common Gives Back To Fans With Intimate L.A. Performace

ImageWindy City rhyme spitter Common will be showing love to the West Coast, performing for a select group of his biggest fans.

The Nissan sponsored show will take place on July 16 at an undisclosed location in West Los Angeles and will feature the rapper rocking the mic specifically designed for his die hard fans. The show will be a warm up before the rapper releases his latest disc, Finding Forever, which is scheduled to land on store shelves on July 31.

The first 200 fans to email their name, location, and why they love Common will be considered for the event and possibly be allowed to attend the live set. Those chosen to attend will be contacted via email. Applicants must be at least 13 years of age to attend.

Fans should email [email protected] for the opportunity to attend the private concert.

In related news, Common has signed on to become the spokesperson for a national campaign for Product Red, an organization that raises awareness and funds to help fight AIDS in Africa. The campaign, entitled "Weapon of Change," will kick off in July and run through September with Common prominently featured in national magazines and billboards in Los Angeles, New York, and the rapper's hometown of Chicago.
