Timbaland Protege Danja Honored By Epic Records

 Timbaland's production partner Nate "DanjaHandz" Hills was honored during a private dinner on Wednesday (May 9) by Epic Records President Charlie Walk and David Ehrlich for producing six No. 1 singles in 2006.

According to Billboard, Danja's hits include Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous," and "Say it Right," Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back," "My Love," and "What Goes Around" and Timbaland's "Give It to Me." Most recently Danja is responsible for DJ Khaled's hit single "We Taking Over" featuring T.I., Akon, Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Baby and Lil' Wayne.

"He's our generation's Quincy Jones," said Walk at the event which was held at New York City's Gin Lounge. Capitol CEO Jason Flom, Hot 97's Miss Info and Atlantic Records CEO Craig Kallman were among those in attendance.

Danja was also honored for four SESAC (Society of European Stage Authors & Composers awards that he received last night (May 10) at the Annual SESAC NY Music Awards, which credits top writers in the pop, rock and urban genres.

The Virginia producer recently revealed that he is currently working with legendary pop group Duran Duran, former "American Idol" contestant Katherine McPhee, Britney Spears and DJ Khaled, among several other rap projects.
