Rapper Eminem Makes Donation To Hip-Hop 4 Habitat
Hip-Hop star Eminem is most well known for being a rapper, producer and actor, but now the Detroit native can add philanthropist to his lengthy list of accomplishments.
Today (May 10) an undisclosed amount was donated on behalf of Eminem's Marshall Mathers Foundation program to Hip-Hop 4 Habitat.
Hip-Hop 4 Habitat is trying to raise $75,000 so they can proceed in building an 1,100 square-foot home in Detroit's east side.
"Hip-Hop 4 Habitat is meant to be a positive project and a way for the Hip-Hop community to come together and support a family in need," Alyce Hartman, founder of A Prophetic Generation, a non-profit organization told The Detroit News . "We're so thankful Trick and Eminem are leading this effort."
When the home is completed volunteers will be treated to a concert by Detroit rapper Trick-Trick; Trick-Trick will also help volunteers build the home.
