Lupe Fiasco's Back In The Lab, Planning "Top Secret" Project

Lupe Fiasco recently revealed that he will begin putting together his sophomore album titled The Cool this week.

The Chicago bred rapper divulged to Billboard that he is eyeing an October 31 release date for the album. He is also planning to rope in members of legendary rock group Pink Floyd to appear on the project.

"Nothing has developed yet," he explained. "But once the stew gets swirling and people start talking, you never know. I hope it does work out."

Lupe also claimed that he has a "top secret" project in the works with "another superstar rapper and someone who is a rapper/producer," but he declined to reveal details, including whether the pairing was for a full album or just a handful of songs.

In related news, Lupe will be performing at the Lollapalooza in Chicago in early August. The event will also feature The Roots and other various hip-hop and rock acts.
