On Friday (June 22), six men were charged with conspiring to murder the associate of 50 Cent.
Among the men is Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond, who is charged with arranging the murder Lowell Fletcher in 2009.
In 2011, two Rosemond associates had been charged with the murder.
Rosemond, who has long been accused of involvement with the murders of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G., was convicted of running a multimillion-dollar cocaine ring earlier this month.
Fletcher's murder was allegedly in retaliation for an assault on Rosemond's son.
Rosemond “operated like a mini-gang, allegedly committing a revenge killing, and a host of drug and firearms offenses,†said United States attorney Preet Bharara, according to the New York Times.
The indictment provides that Fletcher was shot to death on September 27, 2009 in the Bronx, allegedly in exchange for drugs.
“This has not been a good month for Jimmy the Henchman,†said Raymond W. Kelly, the New York police commissioner, in a statement.
