llegal Liquor Charges Against Damon Dash Dismissed

Rap mogul Damon Dash won a legal victory Wednesday (September 14th), when charges of selling liquor without a license in his New York art gallery were dropped.

The Village Voice reports that six charges of storing and selling liquor without a license were dropped by a judge during the hearing.

The judge issued several stipulations to the current owners 172 Duane Street, in Tribeca, where the DD172 art gallery was housed.

The current owners of the building must provide security guards during events, agree warrantless inspections by police and abide by their certificate of occupancy.

Lawyers for Damon Dash told The Village Voice that selling liquor was part of the DD172 business model.

Dame Dash and employees of the DD172 had vacated the property earlier this summer, as the mogul fights a whopping $2,000,000 tax bill.
