The hip-hop producer, who has worked with artists like Ol' Dirty Bastard, Ghostface, Method Man, Busta Rhymes, KRS-One, Guru and others, was the subject of a citywide manhunt on Wednesday (September 14th), after he slipped away from the courthouse, just after his arraignment.
DNAinfo.com reports that True Master is facing charges of sexually assaulting and severely beating a 43-year-old woman inside his Harlem apartment.
During his arraignment on the charges, the producer managed to break free from police custody and escape back to his Harlem apartment, where he was apprehended a short time later.
Over 20 police officers and two helicopters were used to find the famous producer, who is now being held on $250,000 bond, and $150,000 cash bail.
True Master, born Derek Harris, was also charged with felony escape and harassment, after he spit on one of the officers after he was caught and returned to jail.
