Prison Officials Refuse to Release T.I.; Wife Reacts

T.I.'s wife Tiny has told TMZ that officials in the prison are trying to make an example out of her husband, by ordering him to continue his sentence until the end of September.

Today, it was revealed that prison officials blocked the rapper's lawyer's challenge to the decision to re-imprison the rapper, meaning he will be held until the end of September.

Tameka "Tiny" Cottle alleges that the Atlanta rapper/actor is being targeted because he is a famous rapper.

"It's important for the world to know how unfair he's being treated on such minor charges... all because he's T.I.," Cottle said.

"There are way more dangerous and carefee [celebrities] that get slapped on the wrist and sent on their way," Mrs. Cottle said. "Our family needs [him] ... and because of someone's personal vendetta against him, we have to watch our kids' sad faces everyday when he still doesn't show up at home."

T.I. was released from prison on August 31st, but was under specific instructions to be transported to his halfway house to carry out the remaining 30 days on his sentence.

Despite requests by prison officials for the bus to remain business free, T.I. reportedly had two VH1 producers on board along with his manager and other members of his entourage.

Before prison, T.I. was involved in a reality TV show called "T.I.'s Road To Redemption"  that premiered February 10, 2009, on MTV.

The show was produced by T.I. and focused on the 45 days before T.I.'s March sentencing, hoping to encourage teenagers to avoid spending a
life of crime.

The rapper was allegedly sent back to prison, because he was discussing business with VH1 producers about a new upcoming reality show that would follow his post-prison life.
