Eminem 'Born of Fire' Commercial Wins An Emmy

This past week Eminem helped earn an award for the Chrysler 200 commercial that premiered last year during the NFL's Super Bowl.

The commercial, which starred hometown rapper Eminem, Chrysler moved the city of Detroit with a riveting commercial that caught the eyes of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Aaron Allen serves as a creative director from Wieden + Kennedy, the Portland and New York based ad agency that created the commercial.

"We were very surprised,"  Allen said.  "We really wanted to win but wondered if humor would win instead."

Called "Born of Fire," the commercial featured Eminem rolling through Detroit while "Lose Yourself" played and a narrator talked about Chrysler and the Motor City, well known for its role in making General Motors cars.

The Creative Arts Emmys air 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 on the ReelzChannel.
