Fire Breaks Out At Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Concert, 1 Injured

One person was injured and another arrested when fighting broke out at a Bone Thugs-N-Harmony concert at a historic theater in San Pedro, authorities said.

Police in riot gear dispersed a crowd of about 500 people about 10:30 p.m. Friday at the Warner Grand Theatre, an art deco venue opened in 1931.

The victim, whose name was withheld, was struck in the head with a barstool and beaten unconscious, said police Sgt. Mark Jauregui said. The man was recovering at a hospital, he said.

Several fights broke out, and the concert was halted, he said.

Police intervened and started breaking up the crowd of about 1,500 people, but about a third of them refused to leave and tried to get back inside, police said.

A man who allegedly took a swing at a police officer was taken into custody for resisting arrest.
