YoungBloodz Plead Not Guilty To Gun & Drug Charges

Atlanta based rap duo YoungBloodz and twelve of their associates were arraigned on drug and gun charges in Coweta County Superior Court yesterday (January 11).

A tour bus carrying J-BO , Sean Paul and their entourage to a Columbus, GA show in June 2006, was pulled over by Coweta authorities who noticed that the bus had an expired Florida license plate.

Officers who searched the tour bus found approximately half a pound of marijuana, and two firearms - a Glock .40 caliber and Taurus .45 caliber. All fourteen men were then arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of firearms.

According to The Times Herald , Sean Paul (born Sean Paul Joseph) and J-Bo ( born Jeffrey Grigsby) plead not guilty to the both charges.

Additional arrests included Brandon Henry Lee, Denier Renard Smith, Villus Deandre Hose, Kirk Shackleford, Anthony Ray Edwards, Gregory Bernard Britt, Damon Tremayne Green, Marcus Antwann Thomas, Michael Wayne Cook, Thadford Montiez Swan, Timothy Lee Bryant and Alex Alonzo Childs.

Everyone except Smith and Thomas have been indicted on the same charges as Sean Paul and J-Bo. Smith was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and Thomas was charged with possession of a gun/knife during the commission of a crime.

Judge William F. Lee set a trial date of Feb. 19 for all fourteen men.
