Drake Reunites With Rihanna On Song, Tour Is Nearly Sold Out

In a market where concertgoers are cutting back on purchasing tickets, Canadian rapper Drake is turning that around with his upcoming “Light Dreams & Nightmares” tour.

According to Billboard.com, the tour is close to 80% sold out.

Billboard reports that tickets for the tour, which kicked off last week in Miami, are going fast in major cities like New York City and Atlanta.

"The foundation of the plan was to allow Drake to grow as a performer without the pressure of immediately stepping on the big arena stage," said Shawn Gee, Drake’s business manager. "His buzz and profile grew quickly, so we had offers for him to jump in on package arena shows or large one-off shows from the very beginning. But we had to allow him to grow and learn how to perform."

The “Light Dreams & Nightmares” tour will make stops in New York City, Atlanta, New Orleans, Chicago, Las Vegas, and more.

In other Drake news, the Young Money artist has reunited with pop star Rihanna for a song that may possibly appear on Rihanna’s new album Loud.

“I just did this great song with Rihanna so I hope we get to shoot a video for that too,” Drake explained to MTV News. “I’m really excited about that song.”

Drake remained relatively tight-lipped in regards to his collaboration with Rihanna. Loud is currently scheduled to be released on November 16.
