Lupe Shows Brotherly Love To Philly

Lupe Fiasco is headed to Philly next week as part of the Cingular Wireless and Sony Ericsson "Flash Concerts 2006" series.

Lupe (born Wasalu Muhammad Jaco) will take the stage at Philadelphia's Trocadero Theatre (1003 Arch St.) next Thursday, December 7 performing songs from his album Food & Liquor. Lupe was originally scheduled to appear in Philly during October but that performance had to be rescheduled.

The show is open to fans free of charge; however prospective concertgoers are required to register to "Get in and Win" by sending the text message city code "PHI" to "FLASH" (35274) in order to receive alerts that include event details, free invites, VIP access, meet & greets and music prizes.

As previously reported, the "Flash Concerts 2006" were kicked off in Atlanta with a performance by Yung Joc. The Game performed last week for "Flash" concertgoers in his hometown of Los Angeles. G-Unit rapper Young Buck is also currently scheduled to perform at a "Flash Concert" today (December 1) at Miami Beach hotspot Mansion.

Event organizers still haven't revealed which artists will perform for the remaining concert dates scheduled for Seattle and New York.
