50 Cent wants same respect for his gun as Bond

ImageRapper 50 Cent is apparently not happy to see that new James Bond actor Daniel Craig’s gun-toting posters have not created the furore that billboards of him sporting the weapon had one-year ago.

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, accused Hollywood of maintaining double standards, and said that he was appalled by the fact that no one raised a fuss about the posters depicting the ‘Casino Royale’ star with a deadly weapon.

"Get Rich Or Die Tryin` comes out and they want to protest because they see a gun in my hand but James Bond comes out or MR + MRS SMITH will come out with guns and it`s acceptable," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

"You can see any kind of gun there is to see on the covers of films. You can go in Blockbuster and see every gun that was ever made," he added.

He demanded that one universal ruling about weapons in movie posters be made, which would be equally applicable to all big and small stars.

"Let`s not start with 50 Cent and stop with 50 Cent. Let`s do it everywhere else and make it unacceptable period. I would gladly join the rest of entertainment if we get there," he said. In related news, 50 Cent plans to show off his softest side on his third album ‘Before I Self Destruct’ next spring (2007).
