Drake Scoops Two Much Music Awards, Preps 'Tonight Show' Appearance

Drake won two awards last night during the MuchMusic Video Awards in his hometown of Toronto, Canada.

The rapper, who was nominated for a total of seven awards, took home two last night, one for Hip-Hop Video of the Year and another for Cinematography of the Year.

Sixteen-year-old singing sensation Justin Bieber topped all artists with three wins in the UR Fave New Artist category, UR Fave Video and International Video of the Year.

Other winners included The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Belly and Snoop Dogg and K’Naan.

In related news, Drake is slated to make a high profile appearance this Wednesday (June 23rd) on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

The rapper’s album Thank Me Later was released last Tuesday (June 15th) and is projected to sell almost 450,000 copies during the first week in stores.
