Common & will.i.am Pay Tribute To J Dilla In New Video

A video for J Dilla's single "Won't Do," off his posthumous album The Shining, will premiere on the internet next month.

The video will be exclusively available on jdilla.imeem.com beginning December 4 and will feature cameos from Common, will.i.am, Black Thought, Talib Kweli, Karriem Riggins and Dilla's brother John Yancey, among others.

Prior to its premiere, the site will offer fans exclusive stills and behind the scenes footage of the video's production.

As previously reported, Dilla (born James Dewitt Yancey) passed away earlier this year after a battle with Lupus. He is credited as the founding member of Slum Village and was a member of A Tribe Called Quest's production team The Ummah.

He was best known for producing tracks for Busta Rhymes, Common, De La Soul, D'Angelo, Erykah Badu and Q-Tip.

Later on this month, two different color ways of J Dilla "Shining" New Era hats will be available for sale. The hats will each correspond to the color of The Shining album and its instrumental version.

The crimson hat will include a copy of The Shining, while the black hat will include its instrumental version.

To commemorate the year of Dilla's birth, which is 1974, the hats will be sold for $74.00 each. Only 144 hats of each color way will be available and they can be viewed on his website. All proceeds from the hats will go to the J Dilla Foundation.

The hats will be available on November 24 and can be purchased online at okayplayer.com or at the following stores:
