So So Def Rapper Shot In Atlanta

Brooklyn, NY rapper Q Da Kid, a So So Def Recording artist, was shot earlier this week (October 23rd) while attempting to leave the driveway of a South Atlanta Housing Development.

Reports say Q, who has appeared on songs with Jermaine Dupri and Da Brat, was using his cell phone aboard his vehicle when he saw an unfamiliar car circling the parking lot. The rapper was then blocked by the vehicle while trying to leave the driveway and ambushed by a second car moments later.

A gunman stepped out of the first car to try and force Q to come out. The triggerman then began firing shots at the car when Q refused to step out.

Q reportedly ducked and pressed on the accelerator, moving the car towards the gunman. He suffered a single bullet wound.

There's no word on where he was hit. According to police, two guns were used during the shooting. The case is presently being probed by the Fulton County Sheriff's Department.

In related news, Q is currently in the studio with producers DJ Khaled, No ID and The Runners. He is also one half of the rap duo The Jacktwinz with rapper J-Kwon ("Tipsy").
