Mobb Deep & Gangstarr Set To Drop "Best Of" Compilations

ImageEast Coast hip-hop favorites Mobb Deep and Gangstarr are giving fans a chance to catch up on all their greatest hits with their new "Best Of" CD/DVD collections due out before the close of the year.

Mobb Deep is scheduled to release Life of the Infamous: The Best of Mobb Deep on October 31. In addition to hits like "Survival of the Fittest," "Shook Ones Pt.II," and the "Quiet Storm" remix feat. Lil' Kim, Life of the Infamous also includes bonus tracks like "Keep it Thoro" from Prodigy's solo album H.N.I.C. as well as new tracks "Blood Money" and "Go Head" which were recorded exclusively for this collection.

Life of the Infamous: The Videos also captures all of Mobb Deep's videos in one place, available for the first time commercially along with rare bonus videos "Back At You" from the film SunsetPark, Prodigy's "Y.B.E." and the video to the colossal Queensbridge response record "L.A. LA."

After amassing over fifteen years of hip-hop hits, Gangstarr are slated to release their highly anticipated CD and deluxe edition CD/DVD Mass Appeal: The Best of Gang Starr on December 26 through Virgin/EMI. The collection includes 21 of the group's greatest records from 1989's Step in The Arena all the way up to 2003's The Ownerz, including hits like "Mass Appeal," "Check The Technique" and "Code of the Streets." The collection also includes 13 of the group's music videos as well as liner notes written by music journalist Soren Baker.
