Apple Eminem ad gets Lugz legal shutdown

 Apple has been slammed with a cease and desist regarding its Eminem iPod ad, by footwear maker Lugz.

At issue is the way the Eminem ad looks. Many observers have remarked a some similarity between the ad and a 2002 campaign mounted by Lugz.

Lugz last week issued a cease and desist letter to Apple and its ad agency TBWA/Chiat/Day, calling Apple's hard-won spot a "rip-off".

Trillville's Don P Introduces Yung Gunn of Alabama

 Alabama isn’t quite considered a hub of the Hip-Hop industry, but Trillville’s Don P feels he’s found a lyricist to change the perception.

Yung Gunn, a rapper from Birmingham, Alabama, has joined forces with Don P’s Trill Villains and production team Track Boyz Ent. to represent for the burgeoning state. “Ain’t nothing coming up out of [Alabama] if I ain’t got nothing to do with it. Jay-Z To Buy The Source?

President Carter is considering making a joint bid for The Source. Jay is rumored to be teaming up in the bid with two top music executives, Warner Music Group's Lyor Cohen and Interscope's Steve Stoute, according to two former employees of the magazine and a source at Def Jam Records. Rumor has it that Russell Simmons might also be interested.

Bun B: Nah, people just kept coming. Part of it was Rap hustling and going out doing features for money. Part of it was people reaching out like "Bun I got this project come get on it, it would be a good look." And that's people like Lil’ Jon, and Ludacris and Chingy.
